Pace essay contest promotes nature and conservation
NEWDELHI: The prime importance of nature and our duty to conserve it took centre stage when more than 150 students from schools across Delhi & NCR participated in the annual on-thespot inter-school essay-writing competition organised by Partnerships for Action in Education (PACE), the Hindustan Times Newspaper in Education initiative, in association with the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH), here on Friday.
The 90-minute event saw the participation of students from classes 4 to 8. “I had scanned textbooks, essays and sought the help of the internet to gather as much information on the subject”, said Ananya Bindal from G.D. Goenka International School, Vasant Kunj. Aahana Chandel, from DPS, Vasant Kunj said, “I thank HT PACE as it gave me an opportunity to think about nature. I was able to visualise while writing my essay as the building is so eco-friendly.”
