AAP submits objections to DDA over amendments in MPD 2021

-

NEW DELHI: A delegation of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by member of legislative assembly (MLA), Somnath Bharti, submitted objections to the proposed amendments in the Master Plan of Delhi 2021 at the office of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Wednesday.

The land-owning agency had on February 2 proposed three amendments to the Master Plan — a decision aimed at providing relief from the crisis emerged due to the ongoing sealing drive in the capital. The proposals will be notified in another DDA meeting after analysing objections till Wednesday, the last date.

“The objections to the proposed amendments in the DDA Master Plan were signed by 38 elected MLAS, and were handed over to DDA vice-chairman Udai Pratap Singh,” said a party statement.

PUBLIC HEARING

The public hearing over to the modification in the Master Plan of Delhi (MPD) 2021 will take place on Friday and Saturday, instead of Thursday.

A senior official of the authority, privy to the matter, said the hearing was deferred due to huge number of representations received in three days. “More than 600 responses have come in three days. Their sorting is a time consuming exercise and also we need time to inform respondents beforehand,” said the official.

The complete list of objections and suggestions sent to DDA will be upload on its website by Thursday evening.
