‘Road to unclog Delhi to be done by March-end’
GURGAON: Work on the KundliManesar-palwal (KMP) and the Kundli-ghaziabad-palwal (KGP) expressways would be completed by March 31. The two major roads, which are likely to take a significant traffic load off the streets of the National Capital, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar inspected the KMP-KGP intersection and National Highway-1 at Rai in Haryana’s Sonipat district. Khattar said that the construction work on these expressways, also known as the Eastern and Western Expressways, would get completed within the prescribed time-frame and it would help in dealing with traffic jams. He reviewed the progress of work and sought report from the officers of the construction firm.
In October last year, Khattar had announced that work on the KMP expressway would be completed by the end of 2017.
