Heritage Quiz at Bal Bharati , Dwarka
Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka,
hosted the CBSE National Heritage India Quiz to promote and preserve the heritage of our country. The contest comprised four semi-final rounds hosted by Ace Quiz Master Ajay Poonia followed by the final where the winner team was awarded with the Rolling Trophy and prize money. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Anurag Tripathi, Secretary, CBSE; K K Choudhary, Controller of Examination, CBSE and Dhirendra Bhatnagar, Secretary General, Confederation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations of India (CUCAI). Suruchi Gandhi, Principal BBPS Dwarka said, “The school organised the national level event to promote interest among stu- dents to learn and appreciate history, tourism and sharing the vast cultural heritage of our country.”
Mount Carmel School, Dwarka,
celebrated its Annual Day. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Mayor of South Delhi MCD, G. Chidambram Board member of Mount Carmel School, IFS Dr. Thelma David, Research Fellow with Ministry of External Affairs and Dr. Zoltan Welhelm, Cultural Counsellor and Director of Balassi Institute Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre were the guests.
Principal Sunita Howell presented the Yearly Report of the school. Achievers were awarded for their performance. Three hundred and fifty three students transported the audience to the land of Agrabah, Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. The singing, Arabian dance and graphical effects enthralled the audience. The Founder Manager N.M. Williams lauded the efforts of the students and teachers. Junior Wing Headmistress Jessica Prashant proposed the vote of thanks.
Ramjas School, Pusa Road,
hosted a ‘Kathak Recital ‘by the renowned Kathak artist Gauri Diwakar under the aegis of Spic Macay. Gauri Diwakar was accompanied by Samiullah Khan on vocal, Yogesh Gangani on Tabla and Ayub Khan on Sarangi. She overwhelmed the audience by touching every aspect of Kathak Nritya. Her dance moves, striking facial expressions and love for the classical dance form made the recital even more appealing.it was an enlightening event for the students. The event also marked the release of Annual School Magazine ’Samacharika’ by Principal Mohini Bindra and Secretary cum Manager Atam Prakash.
Keeping in mind the vision of Amity’s Founder President Dr. Ashok K Chauhan and Chairperson Dr Amita Chauhan, The Amity Heritage quiz attempts to cultivate love among the students for rich, varied and vibrant culture of India. This year the event was held at
Amity International School, Saket,
conducted by Adittya Nath Mubayi and Sidhharth Kurapati from Quizcraft. It was divided into three categories – junior, middle and senior and was based on the rivers of India. All branches of Amity including Amity Global Schools participated with zeal. Principal Divya Bhatia applauded the efforts of the teams and congratulated Amity, Noida for winning the trophy third time in a row.
