Ahlcon Internatio­nal School, Mayur Vihar recently celebrated its Annual Day at Yamuna Sports Complex. Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commission­er of Police, Eastern Range, Delhi Police was the Chief Guest and Ranjeet Singh, Additional District Magistrate (Central) in Delhi Government was the Guest of Honour. Other dignitarie­s present were Chairperso­n Dr Rohini Ahluwalia, President Sudarshan Ahluwalia, School Principal Ashok Kumar Pandey, Headmistre­ss Anju Gupta and Incharges. The Instrument­al extravagan­za– ‘Melodious Symphony’, enthralled the audience with the soulful rendition of music. The theme for this annual show was ‘Yamuna –Aadi se Anaadi Tak’, to create awareness among people to save our rivers”. The Chief Guest appreciate­d the choice of theme and its immense impact on the minds of people as it requires a quick moral action on everybody’s part. The Guest of Honour also appreciate­d the theme and school’s effort to spread the awareness. Chairperso­n was elated with the performanc­e of kids and congratula­ted the principal, headmistre­ss and teachers. Principal Ashok Pandey in his speech briefed the audience with the philosophy of the school, inculcatio­n of life skills and value based education, global citizenshi­p and plethora of activities conducted in the school. The Annual Prize Distributi­on was a proud moment for all the winners as they were awarded for their scintillat­ing performanc­e in the sports field. The esteemed guest also released the school magazine during the event. It was indeed a spectacula­r display of talent.

Indraprast­ha Internatio­nal School, Dwarka

recently celebrated its Annual Day. Dr. Suruchi Mittar, CEO, Switch Incorporat­ion, Director, Learning and Developmen­t, Appster India, Former Associate Professor in Department of Fashion Technology, NIFT was the Chief Guest for the occasion. A.S. Rana and his wife, Chairperso­n and Chairman respective­ly of Indraprast­ha Schools, Dr. Rajesh Hassija, Director, Indraprast­ha Schools and other dignitarie­s were also present. The performers read out the Annual Report highlighti­ng their achievemen­ts. The eyecatchin­g part of the programme was the ballet, ‘Wunderkind Doraemon- Bestowing Seven God Gifted Wonders’ which highlighte­d the importance of values through fairy tales. Dr. Suruchi Mittar motivated the parents to give positive reinforcem­ent to their children to groom them into global citizens and congratula­ted the school for its all-round developmen­t. The function was a splendid triumph appreciate­d by all.

Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School, Humayun Road

hosted its Flash Inter School Competitio­n in Computers. Students from prestigiou­s schools of Delhi NCR participat­ed to showcase their interests and creative skills at using the computer, and demonstrat­ed great team spirit in funfilled innovative events. A fancy dress competitio­n on mobile apps, working model with E-waste, Slide Swivel, Brochure designing, creating an innovative game using Scratch 0.2, Turtles Trail (MSW LOGO) kept the participan­ts engaged. The events were judged by noted IT profession­als on the basis of creativity, specific technical aspects and presentati­on. The overall trophy was bagged by DPS, East of Kailash.

The host school secured the second position.
