DEVOTIONAL SONG COMPETITION

Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden, Delhi, organised the RR Joshi Memorial 25th Inter-school Bhakti Sangeet Competition on its premises. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by founder principal Dr Manik Barsaley, principal Dr SK Sharma, vice principals Vibhu Shrotria and Pooja Vipul Barsaley, the headmistress, incharge of the school and the distinguished judges. It was followed by Guru Vandana. Thereafter, a brief introduction was given to the life of the founder late RR Joshi, a great educationist. Several reputed schools took part in the competition.

The competition was held in two categories: junior and senior. The prizes were bagged by: Category A (junior): first : Anshul Prateek (Ahlcon Public School, Mayur Vihar); second: Moksha Gulati (DLF Public School); third: Aditya (Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden); appreciation award Divyottma Jha (AVB Public School, Patparganj). Category B (senior) first prize Akansha Jha (Ahlcon Public School, Mayur Vihar); second prize Vipul Bhagyamani (DLF Public School); third prize Adhira Babu (Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden); appreciation award Chandrima Seal (Laxman Public School, Hauz Khas).

The running trophy was bagged by Ahlcon Public School, Mayur Vihar. The competition was judged by singer Hari Dutt Sharma, composer Yogesh Sharma and AIR artiste Dr Shilpa Mishra Jha.
