HINDI DEBATE
SD Vidya School, Noida, organised an Inter-house Hindi Debate Competition for Classes 6 to 8 in accordance with the democratic tradition of agreeing to disagree but agreeably.
The topic for the debate was ‘Books are redundant in today’s time’. The competition was judged by principal Kavita Nath and coordinator Aparna Mohan. Chairman RK Madan graced the occasion. The students argued for and against the topic. Some agreed with the statement and stated that in this age of the internet, books are losing their relevance. Others argued that the internet can never replace the knowledge and experience packed in a good book.
Nilgiri house emerged as the winner. The students learnt to present their viewpoints with grace. They understood the significance of deliberation, discussion and debate for healthy democracy. Bhai Joga Singh Public School, Karol Bagh, conducted a grand graduation ceremony.
The programme began with a dance by students. The students in beautiful attire presented rhymes, plays and stories. They conveyed the message of preventing child labour and the importance of trees. The tiny tots won hearts with their performance. It was a joyous and memorable day for the parents and the little ones, who were dressed up in navy blue gowns, as they received their KG graduation diplomas from school secretary Sardar Paramjit Singh, manager Sardar Tanjit Singh Ghai, principal Sardar Harinder
Pal Singh and vice principal Daljeet Kaur. The ceremony concluded with the principal’s prayer, “May God bless these tiny tots as they continue their education.”
