IF I WOULD A BIRD!!! INTO THE WOODS

-

Into the woods I went with

The birds’ chirping so loud Up I saw the snowy and

The fluffy clouds

Further I went, humming A euphonious song,

With the shadows of the

Trees dancing along

I closed my eyes and wondered If I was all alone

I looked up at the sky

And the sun that shone.

The bewitching sky

Answered my thoughts

And, oh, it made me

Happy, my lords! SUHANI SHARMA

Class 7 D, DAV Public School, Sreshtha Vihar It was a darker dusk,

It was a dreamy night,

You could smell the musk,

And nothing seemed right.

It was a fantasy,

The lord seemed nearer.

Life was felt scantily,

The sky suddenly became clearer. And all you could see,

Were the stars and the Moon? I was besides the sea,

In front of a thicket with oak trees strewn

And then I sat on the sand, Observing the heavens above Among the stars the only thing grand

Was the moon thereof ?

Even though it was dark, It is none other than Rakshabandhan A sister tying Rakhi

A promise for security

A blessing of being healthy

Hurting his sister? No one can dare Let’s carry on this sweet relationship And celebrate this festival of blessings The moon shone and gave light, To voyagers like me who embark, On such a gloomy night

In our lives too,

From darkness to escape,

All we have to do,

Is shine so that others gape?

Your light would light other’s lives,

Their blessings would make your day.

Even your life revives,

And it shows you your befitting way.

PRAGYA ANAND

Class 9C, Rukmini Devi Public School, Pitampura you or may read you laughing

You are our future and our blessing, you consist of many subjects

And is taken out of the bag whenever the bell rings

You tell us about the world and many lands,

You are a precious thing

But is sometimes reared by children’s hands

You contain different stories about many writers

Which are sometimes funny and sometimes serious?

But always makes the people curious You have stories of grannies and children

And even adults but are always fun for everyone.

You are sometimes costly but cheap too, You are of many different kinds, sometimes about religion

And sometimes on hymns too,

Things are just endless about you

You are sometimes of a subject or about cook,

No matter what you contain you are just my precious book.

Class 6 B, Maxfort School I’m stuck at a phase

Where it seems,

Like an unconsiderable strife.

But, off all this bluff,

Of fooling myself with the opinion

Of my plight being right

Is that fight,

Of presence of an epigram

For every dilemma

And realized,

Keeping the face towards sunshine Will lay the shadows back my side And, people face dilemma when They live a purposeless life.
