Shot fired as students clash at Gurgaon college, 1 hurt
GURGAON: Chaos prevailed on the Dronacharya college campus in Gurgaon after two groups of students allegedly clashed with each other on Thursday morning. One student was injured.
Eyewitnesses said the groups entered into a scuffle with each other after a former student of the college allegedly fired a shot in the air in the college canteen.
After he fired the shot, the crowd overpowered him and his aide and beat them up.
The police said a case was been registered against the suspects based on a complaint filed by the students.
The violence, police said, was a follow-up of Wednesday’s incident in which there was a scuffle between the same groups in which a second-year BSC student, Narbir Khatana, had received head injuries.
On Thursday, the complainant, Mohit Khatana , told police that around 11am he was sitting in the college canteen when former students, Vicky Kumar and Mohan, came and pointed a countrymade pistol at him.
They asked him about Narbir but when he told them he was not aware of his whereabouts, they hit him with the butt of the pistol. They later threatened
