Canadian prime minister visits Modern School, Barakhamba Road
On his recent visit to India, the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau visited
Modern School, Barakhamba Road
and played a friendly game of cricket with the young cricketers . Giving him company during the visit were the Indian Cricket legends Mohammed Azharuddin and Kapil Dev. He was also accompanied by his children Ella Grace, Xavier James and Hadrien Trudeau. He was received by Ashok Pratap Singh, President, Board of Trustees, Modern Schools, Ambika Pant, member, Board of Trustees, and Principal Dr Vijay Datta. School grounds turned into a sea of children waving flags of India and Canada. During his visit, Trudeau and his children tried their hands at the game of cricket along with Dr Vijay Datta.

. The quiz was based on rivers of India – Ganga, Yamuna, Brahmaputra, Kaveri and Narmada.

performed at the Valedictory Function and Golden Jubilee Ceremony of Unity International Foundation, a renowned association for the advancement of cordial relations among nations, at Hotel Samrat, Delhi.
The Ambassador, H.E. Petko Doykov was bestowed the “Outstanding Ambassador of the Year” Award of UIF for strengthening the ties between Bulgaria and India. Students performed an instrumental piece along with a poem by Tusharika, teacher of RKS. They were invited at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria on the National Day of Bulgaria where H.E. Aleksander Manolev, Deputy Minister of Economy of Bulgaria, Minister of State for External Affairs, M.J. Akbar and other dignitaries were also present. Students and their teacher Merild, performed an instrumental piece on the patriotic song of Bulgaria.
NK Bagrodia Public School, Rohini
served as an effectual platform to showcase the grand extravaganza by SPIC MACAY (The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth). Member of Managing Committee, Dinesh Kumar Gupta and Director S.K. Bhattacharya escorted the dignitaries, Kumari Kavita Dwibedi, Vocalist Suresh Sethi, Mandal Artist, Prashanta Mangaraj, violin player Gopinath Swain for lamp lighting, followed by an invocation to Lord Krishna.
Music renditions by the school choir mesmerized the audience. Dance recital of the school left everyone awestruck. The cynosure for the occasion was the Odissi Recital by the dancing diva, Kumari Kavita Dwibedi.
The programme culminated with the note of erudition.
