EDUCATIONA­L TRIP

DAV Public School, Srestha Vihar, recently organised an education trip for its students to a park in Vigyan Lok. A total of 300 students with teachers got an opportunit­y to explore the greenery in park. School principal Premlata Garg wished the students all the best for their trip. It began with a light yoga session in the park. After the session, they (students) were given a fruits break in a refreshing environmen­t under the trees. Later, students were divided into various groups to learn the integrated activities for all. Then began a game session wherein students contested with each other in several games like seven stones to learn fractions. The activity called ‘skip and chant’ was enjoyed by all. The students enjoyed walking in natural surroundin­g. They were also asked to observe the beauty of nature. They collected fallen seeds, leaves, flowers and fruits which they had never seen otherwise.they also learnt how to segregate bio-degradable and non- biodegrada­ble things. The art teacher taught them how to create different textures using like the bark of a tree, leaves and branches.then, students spent some peaceful time reading their favorite story books. In addition, they also enjoyed sharing their sumptuous lunch with classmates and teachers. After coming back to school, they (students) penned down their experience­s in a follow up worksheet. The trip was full of enjoyable learning beyond the realms of classroom for all those students. They enjoyed the trip a lot.
