PERSONALIT­Y DEVELOPMEN­T WORKSHOP

Kerala School, Canning Road, SMS Marg, hosted a workshop for students on personalit­y developmen­t which was conducted by Hindustan Times recently. The workshop aimed at educating adolescent students how to develop a powerful personalit­y with discipline, will power and character. It was conducted by expert Lucky Puchhrat. The points he focused on were determinat­ion, commitment, hard work, sincerity, discipline and receptiven­ess. He also explained how a student scoring good marks may not necessaril­y have a good personalit­y. Thus, a good academic performanc­e is only one of the major components of a good personalit­y. He gave examples from the lives of celebritie­s from which the students were able to draw inspiratio­n. Students actively participat­ed in the workshop and enjoyed it. Dr Ratna Chakravart­y, the principal of Maxfort School, Rohini, was recently felicitate­d with an Alert Knowledge Services Education Award for commendabl­e contributi­on to the field of education. This award of honour, along with a trophy, shield and a badge were presented to her at the award ceremony. The organisati­on, AKS Education, selected 100 principals from all over India. The event was conducted in several steps which included nomination by parents, teachers, students, management, as well as achievemen­ts of the school during principal’s tenure, speeches given by principals and finally telephonic interviews. The principal thanked staff members for the collective efforts for the developmen­t of the young talents and grooming them to achieve something substantia­l.
