PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
Kerala School, Canning Road, SMS Marg, hosted a workshop for students on personality development which was conducted by Hindustan Times recently. The workshop aimed at educating adolescent students how to develop a powerful personality with discipline, will power and character. It was conducted by expert Lucky Puchhrat. The points he focused on were determination, commitment, hard work, sincerity, discipline and receptiveness. He also explained how a student scoring good marks may not necessarily have a good personality. Thus, a good academic performance is only one of the major components of a good personality. He gave examples from the lives of celebrities from which the students were able to draw inspiration. Students actively participated in the workshop and enjoyed it. Dr Ratna Chakravarty, the principal of Maxfort School, Rohini, was recently felicitated with an Alert Knowledge Services Education Award for commendable contribution to the field of education. This award of honour, along with a trophy, shield and a badge were presented to her at the award ceremony. The organisation, AKS Education, selected 100 principals from all over India. The event was conducted in several steps which included nomination by parents, teachers, students, management, as well as achievements of the school during principal’s tenure, speeches given by principals and finally telephonic interviews. The principal thanked staff members for the collective efforts for the development of the young talents and grooming them to achieve something substantial.
