PATHWAYS STUDENT SHINES IN PHOTOGRAPHY
Anurup Sharma, academic proctor Prabha Garg and SP Sharma. It was followed by mantra chanting and Saraswati Vandana. In her address, Garg highlighted the importance of giving a favourable atmosphere to children to study. She emphasised on the holistic development of children through quality education. SP Sharma spoke about the learning methods at school and the safety measures. Parents were informed about the medical facilities available at the school. Various points regarding health and hygiene were discussed. The school counsellor discussed how today’s students could become productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow. The programme culminated with the introduction of the class teachers of the new entrants and the rules and regulations of the school. Anav Singh, a Grade 12 student of Pathways World School, Aravalli, recently won the Aravalli photography competition held by the organisation named ‘iamgurgaon’ and India Habitat Centre. The theme of the competition was the Aravalli Hills. Some brilliant images that Anav clicked in the Aravalli Ridge were chosen. He received an award from Bittu Sahgal, a renowned environmental activist and editor of Sanctuary magazine. Sahgal was impressed by Anav’s book on birds and his knowledge about leopards of Aravalli. “It is children like Anav who give hope that the next generation will champion conservation,” said Sehgal.
(5D) and Soumya Agarwal (6C) dove into the water and speedily made their way through the length of the pool. All the participants displayed their talent and enthusiasm in the competition. Vrishti grabbed the bronze medal in the 25 metre butterfly stroke event. Principal Indira Kohli lauded the perseverance and dedication of all the participants and congratulated them.
