DU’S online registrati­on for UG courses begins today Ambedkar University starts PG admission process

NEW DELHI : Delhi University will start online registrati­ons for admission to its undergradu­ate courses from 5 pm on Tuesday. Aspirants will get time to complete their applicatio­n forms till June 7.

The university will announce the first cutoff list on June 19. Admissions under the first list will happen till June 21.

This year, DU will announce only five cutoff lists with the last list coming out on July 12. Admissions under it will be completed by July 14.

The university will conduct central counsellin­g for remaining seats in the undergradu­ate courses after the fifth cutoff list.

“Tomorrow, the online portal for registrati­on will start from 5 pm. Students will get 24 days to complete their applicatio­n form,” a DU official said.

The official said students will be able to edit their forms till they make the payment.

“The class 12 results for many boards are not yet out. Students can fill their details and upload the marks when the results are announced. They will get a text message confirming their registrati­on. Our system will ensure there are no multiple registrati­ons by the same student,” the official said.

This year, the university will provide a single portal for applicatio­ns for both merit-based and entrance-based admissions to undergradu­ate courses. Till 2017, the registrati­on for entranceba­sed admissions was separate.

“There will be two tabs on the same portal and a student can register for both or one of them. The student will have to make separate payment for both the forms,” another DU official said.

The online registrati­on form will allow applicants applying under the sports quota to upload their three best certificat­es instead of one. “The three certificat­es have to be uploaded as three separate documents,” the statement said.

DU aspirants can visit the university and attend ‘Open Days’ to get informatio­n related to the admission process, The university will hold ‘Open Days’ from May 21 to May 29 during which officials will address the students.

The online registrati­on for postgradua­te and research courses will start from May 18 and May 20, respective­ly. The registrati­on process for all programmes will be completely online for all categories and for all quota. Online registrati­on begins Online registrati­on closes

: : : : NEWDELHI: Ambedkar University Delhi has started admission process for its postgradua­te courses with the online registrati­on which began on May 12 and on-campus registrati­on beginning on May 21.

The university has 18 postgradua­te courses such as MA Global Studies, MA Developmen­t Studies, MA Education and MA Gender Studies. Admission to the postgradua­te courses is based on an entrance test followed by an interview.

“The entrance test will start from July 1 and end on July 9. The interviews will begin from July 10 and end on July 14,” an official said. The first admission list will be out on July 16 and admissions under it will happen on July 17, 18 and 19, according to the admission schedule uploaded on the university website. The university will release three admission lists.

Also, the university is likely to begin the registrati­on process for its undergradu­ate courses from next week. It offers undergradu­ate courses i n seven programmes, such as BA (Honors) with a major in English, BA (Honours) with a major in psychology and BA (Honors) with a major in sociology among others
