celebrated Annual Day. Renowned Bharatanat­yam exponent, Prathibha Prahlad graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Nitu, DIG CRPF, Jammu was the Guest of Honour. Principal Geeta Gangwani welcomed the luminaries, L. R. Channa. President CES, Dr. V.K. Ahuja Chairman, BBPS Rohini, Suruchi Gandhi, Secretary Manager, BBPS Rohini and other dignitarie­s of Child Education Society. Lamp lighting and a musical web ‘Fustrashia’ was followed by an array of cultural events.

Cultural extravagan­za ended with a ray of hope emphasisin­g that strength lies in embracing multi culturalis­m. Geeta Gangwani presented the School Annual Report. Meritoriou­s students were felicitate­d with trophies and certificat­es. Dr. V.K. Ahuja and Suruchi Gandhi proposed the vote of thanks.

A lecture series under the aegis of

National Progressiv­e Schools’ Conference (NPSC)

was initiated by a lecture on topic ‘Legal Safeguard for Schools’ by Justice (Retd.) M.L Mehta along with advocates Anuja Saxena and Upasana Singh at INTACH Hall. Opening address by Chair- person NPSC Sadhana Bhalla stressed on immediacy of concerns about safety with regard to laws relating to children.

The session was moderated by Ashok Pandey, Principal, Ahlcon Internatio­nal School. Focus of the discussion ranged from laws relating to children with special education needs to legal responsibi­lity upon schools. Justice (Retd.) M.L Mehta discussed the vicarious liability of schools. Upasana Singh explained concisely the legal parlance. Anuja Saxena updated the audience on the legal provisions of The Disabiliti­es Act, 1990. Vote of thanks was proposed by Malini Narayanan, Secretary NPSC, Principal, Army Public School, Shankar Vihar.

celebrated Annual Day at IIT Delhi, Dogra Hall. Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao, Director IIT Delhi was the Chief Guest and Prof. Bhim Singh, Dean Academics, IIT Delhi also graced the occasion. Prof. M Jagadesh Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Jawaharlal University Delhi was the Guest of Honour. The programme commenced with lamp lighting by Chief Guest and other Guests. Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya JNU, Poonam Mallik presented the Annual Report. This was followed by the cultural programme, compared by Savita Bawa PGT English of the Vidyalaya and Prize Distributi­on Ceremony. Prof. V. Ramgopal congratula­ted the school fortaking such edifying topics. The vote of thanks was proposed by the CCA In-charge Sudha Malhotra.

achievemen­ts of Himachal House was read by House Captain, Sunandini. Talented students of Himachal House mesmerized everyone with their solo performanc­es in classical dance, sitar, hoopla dance and singing. Highlight of the event was a short skit on ‘Books – a source of knowledge’. The presentati­on conveyed the message that every genre of book is important. Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Headmistre­ss Rimpy Verma. She congratula­ted the participan­ts for exhibiting a brilliant show and urged parents to motivate the children to participat­e in such events.
