NEWDELHI: Jawaharlal Nehru University has begun the admission process for its school of engineering for the monsoon semester in July.
According to a JNU statement on Monday, “JNU is ready to welcome its inaugural batch of students in two different programmes of engineering degrees: Computer Science Engineering and Electronics and Communications.” As many as 50 students would be admitted to each of the streams based on the applicant’s rank in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main). Students would be enrolled for the fiveyear dual degree programme, culminating in a Btech and an MTECH/MS degree.
The webpage, jnu.ac.in/se, with details of courses, degrees, disciplines, and programmes was also launched on Monday.
RK Agrawal, the dean of the school of engineering, said, “We offer Btech only in two streamsComputer Science and Electronics and Communications. The first three years of the course would be Btech courses, then in the seventh semester there will be some overlapping between Btech and Mtech or MS courses. The last three semesters would be purely Mtech or MS courses, as per the specialisation the student would choose,” he said.
