DEHRADUN: In a suspected case of betting in the three-match T20 series between Afghanistan and Bangladesh here, police detained two men who on Saturday approached an Afghan Cricket Board (ACB) official and sought details about the match at the Rajiv Gandhi i nternational cricket stadium.
Dehradun, a designated ‘home ground’ for Afghanistan, hosted the first game on Sunday.
The two men were detained for questioning after the ACB official grew suspicious and informed the police in the stadium. Police said the two were about 30 years old, but didn’t reveal their identity.
