“In light of the excellent results of students who pursued Btech Computer Science, we have decided to offer a BSC in Computer Science. We are also offering Mathematics (Hons). Both these courses are employment-oriented and will give students from the surrounding rural areas an opportunity to pursue such professional courses,” Khatri said.

“Given the possible high demand for this course and the kind of placement and job opportunities it offers, we think that this will serve as a great opportunity for students from surrounding areas who often do not make it to colleges on the main campuses in north Delhi with very high cut-offs,” Khatri added.

College officials said they intend to introduce two new honours courses each year, over three years, which include Political Science (Hons), Sanskrit (Hons), Philosophy (Hons), Social Work (Hons).

“We have five computer labs with 125 computers. Students who wish to issue a laptop for individual use can do so by signing an undertaking,” said DV Bhardwaj, the officiating administrative officer.
