entrance exam or vice-versa. The university should have made a schedule keeping such situation in mind,” he said.

The university has about 1,700 seats in undergraduate courses under the sports quota in 63 colleges.

Another applicant, who has applied under sports quota said, “I am confused about what to do. I am supposed to appear for athletics trial at 7 am but JAT is starting an hour later. The admit card has not been issued yet so I don’t know if it will be possible to give the trial and reach the exam centre on time,” he said.

University officials said they were aware of the issue and would allow students to give the trials after they complete their paper.

Anil Kumar Kalkal, director of DU’S sports council, said students can send someone on their behalf with a copy of their admit card and an application to give the trials later.

“The trials can go on for hours depending on how many students actually turn up that day. Students will be allowed to give the trials post their exam or another day as trials do go on for more than one day if there are many applicants,” Kalkal said.

Kalkal said students will have to send their parents with an application and a photocopy of admit card at the venue of the trials. “They can give it to the officials present there,” he said. Not available.
