AJAY JAYARAM IN QUARTERS OF US OPEN

NEW DELHI: Indian shuttler Ajay Jayaram advanced to the men’s singles quarter-finals by beating Brazilian eighth seed Ygor Coelho 19-21, 21-12, 21-16 in 50 minutes at the $150,000 US Open in Fullerton on Thursday. Jayaram will take on South Korean Heo Kwang Hee next in the quarter-finals.
