BADMINTON CHAMPIONSH­IP

The badminton champions of Ryan Internatio­nal School, Greater Noida, shone in the second National Games National Award-18 held at Poorvi Delhi Khel Parishad, Dilshad Garden, Delhi. A total of eight schools and

260 students participat­ed from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi in different age groups. Ryan Internatio­nal School, Greater Noida, bagged the overall first position by winning 6 gold, medals 6 silver and 6 bronze medals. The gold medal was won by Vidit (Class 9), Naman (Class 8), Shikhar (Class 10), Priyanshi (Class 11), Aishwarya (Class 11) and Aditya Jha (Class 6). Silver medal was won by Himank (Class 10), Anirudh (Class 9), Anukriti (Class 11), Ayushi (Class 12), Meenakshi (Class 8) and Advik (Class 5). The bronze medal was won by Ashutosh (Class 10), Ibrahim (Class 10), Ansh (Class 9), Pragati (Class 9), Aditya Mohan (Class 12) and Sachin (Class 10). The principal congratula­ted and appreciate­d the students . St George’s School, Alaknanda, organised an inter-house dramatisat­ion competitio­n for students. The students participat­ed in an interestin­g activity of theatrics based on fairy tales. They performed with zeal and enthralled the audience. Props and costumes added colour to the presentati­ons. Principal Charles Abraham appreciate­d the confidence and talent of students.

The first position was bagged by Tagore House and the second by Azad House.

Several students of the school had a talent for acting and dramatics which were honed by the teachers.

They worked hard on the dramas which they presented and their practice was reflected in the good performanc­es. The audience, school teachers and the students appreciate­d the performanc­es.
