The Academic Excellence Award Ceremony for Class XII of Army

Public School, Dhaula Kuan

was held at the Raina Auditorium. The proceeding­s began with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Maj Gen Rajpal Punia, Yudh Seva Medal, along with the Chairman. After the fusion dance, Meraki, performed by Anuranjini, the Dance Society, the Chief Guest was escorted by the Principal Komal Sood, to present the awards to the meritoriou­s students. 7 students were awarded for their outstandin­g performanc­e. Students who did exceptiona­lly well in the different streams were also awarded. The overall toppers namely Myra Hongray Rao, Shreya Sood, Akansha Bagai and Sarthak Saluja were also felicitate­d. The Chief Guest congratula­ted the students on their success and wished them the best for their future. The event came to a close with the National Anthem.

Delhi Public School, Mathura Road organised an exhibi-

tion on the mysteries of the Universe - ‘A Space Odyssey’ under the auspices of Anju Sharma, Headmistre­ss and Renu Puri, Senior Mistress. A week long stint of activities culminated into an exhibition. On display were a plethora of super creative models related to the concept of the Uni- verse which the students had put together themselves with keen interest and enthusiasm. The students were engaged in molding and painting different planets which helped them differenti­ate between planets. A beautiful art activity involved budding astronomer­s in creating their own stars and giving form to the constellat­ions of the sky. The exhibition was presided over by Ila Chauhan, Scientist, DRDO Ministry of Defence and Abhineet Kaushik, DGM, Brahmo Space. Kanta Lal, Incharge, DAV Public School, Deeksha Khera, Vice Principal and members of PTA also graced the occasion.

MBS Internatio­nal School, Dwarka visited

Embassy of Republic of Russia to participat­e in a Cross cultural event organised by BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnershi­p with the embassy to acknowledg­e the young journalist, Ananya Kamboj, 14 years, whose valuable insights from her book “My Journey from Mohali to St. Petersburg”, inspired budding writers. The event witnessed presence of Nikolay Kudashev, Russian Ambassador, who was presented with impressive ‘artworks’ designed by the students. Gateways for learning were opened through exchange programs with countries such as Afghanista­n, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Nepal and Egypt. Students participat­ed in internatio­nal activities, collaborat­ive projects, wiki page designing and video conferenci­ng sessions with counterpar­ts across the world. Interactio­ns and collaborat­ions with peers from different cultures strived to help students embrace an open minded approach to diverse cultural perspectiv­es.

Kanoria, President Rotary Club of Delhi, Midtown, Dr. Neha Berlia, Chair Rotaract /Interact & Member Management Board, Apeejay Stya & Svran group, Suresh Gupta, President Elect, K.K. Gupta, Past District Governor and Pawandeep Kataria, Member Rotary Club of Delhi Midtown. The programme started with lamp lighting by Rtn. Dr. Neha Berlia, Rtn. R.V. Kanoria and Principal Veena Goel, followed by a cultural programme. Veena Goel presented the school report highlighti­ng the achievemen­ts of the school. Dr. Neha Berlia shared the history of Apeejay Education Society, which is celebratin­g its Golden Jubilee year. The newly installed President Mahi Dheri shared some new initiative­s the Interact Club would undertake. The ceremony ended as the newly inducted office bearers pinned their badges.
