Darshan Academy, Kirpal Bagh, recently celebrated Sanskrit Diwas on its premises. Sanskrit Diwas aims to promote the revival of this ancient language. It is celebrated every year on Shravana Purnima. It was first celebrated in 1969. On this day, events on the importance of Sanskrit are organised in India. The idea behind celebratin­g Sanskrit Diwas is to spread awareness about the language. Sanskrit personifie­s India’s rich cultural heritage. Some of the most priceless messages, stories and folk tales of India are in Sanskrit. On that occasion, students participat­ed enthusiast­ically in a thematic assembly. It was followed by a story-telling session, role play, and songs in Sanskrit. The highlight of the day was the Hasya Kavi Sammelan wherein poems recited in Sanskrit were translated into Hindi. Thereafter, programme coordinato­r Sunder Lali explained the importance of Sanskrit in our day to day life and threw light on the latest research work in Sanskrit literature. Darshan Education Foundation has been providing students with an excellent all-round education since the inaugurati­on of its first school, Darshan Academy Meerut in 1995.

Since then, many Darshan Academy schools have been establishe­d in various parts of the country and Columbia. These schools provide education from pre-primary level to high school. Darshan Education Foundation has developed a unique holistic concept for schools that helps children develop their highest potential at different levels. This holistic concept helps students grow spirituall­y, intellectu­ally, emotionall­y and physically. In addition to being immersed in a rich academic curriculum, students also fol- low a daily lesson from the spiritual curriculum developed by Darshan Education Foundation.
