India’s legacy and its incredible potentials

-

In the 21st century, while all the nations are striving to prove their mettle, we (Indians) cannot just be proud of our rich legacy.

INDIA, as the acronym suggests, i s I n c re d i bl e, N e o - p o t e n t i a l , Diverse and has an Infinite Asset. Incredibility is the essence of our country — from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Thar desert to the seven north-eastern states. Our country has diverse languages, variety of dresses and assorted cuisines. A large number of people of our secular nation speak Hindi.

The campaign ‘Incredible India’ plays an important part in promoting tourism which is the second largest source of foreign exchange. Historic monuments such as Red Fort, Qutub Minar and Taj Mahal attract a number of visitors annu- ally. The iconic Taj is also one of the Seven Wonders of the World. While caver ns like Ajanta Caves and Elephanta Caves are examples of ancient art and heritage. But these iconic structures are not enough to promote tourism.

‘Atithi devo bhava’ is our country’s motto. We believe ‘guests are equivalent to God’.

The frequent instances of crime and corruption are alarming, which deter tourists to visit our country. We need to contribute more to this ‘Incredible India’ campaign by making our country a safe place.
