Dicka strike hands Bagan 10 win over Real Kashmir
SRINAGAR: Former champions Mohun Bagan rode on a second half Dipanda Dicka strike to eke out a 1-0 win over debutants Real Kashmir FC and register their second win of the Hero I-league here on Tuesday. The win takes the Mariners to second spot in the I-league standings with eight points from four games. Real Kashmir, on the other hand, suffered their second defeat on the trot at home, keeping them on four points from a similar number of games and down to eighth place.
SUBROTO CUP
NEW DELHI: Bangladesh Krida Shiksha Prothishtan (BKSP) won the 59th edition of the junior boys Subroto Cup International Football Tournament beating Amini School, Afghanistan by a solitary goal at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Tuesday. Habibur Rahman scored the all-important goal in the 11th minute. A total of 95 teams and 1500 players participated in the tournament, making it one of the biggest tournaments in its category in the entire football world. Eight teams from three countries ---- Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Nepal --- also competed in the tournament.
KHELO INDIA
GOA: Union Sports Minister RVS Rathore said on Tuesday there was a distinct possibility of Khelo India partnering with Sesa Football Academy, Goa soon. “Hopefully, we will very soon be recognising Sesa Football Academy as a partner in Khelo India. My team will come here and see the infrastructure and the training that is happening,” he said. Sesa Academy is one of the first residential academies in India. Established in 1999, with currently two running campuses, the academy has the distinction of developing the highest number of players for the national team, the ISL teams, I-league teams and the Goa Pro League from Goa.

GELSENKIRCHEN: Netherlands scored twice in the last five minutes to recover from two goals down and earn a 2-2 draw against relegated Germany i n t he Nations League on Monday to secure a spot in next year’s finals ahead of world champions France. Virgil van Dijk struck a superb close-range volley in stoppage time to equalise for the visitors after Quincy Promes had cut the deficit in the 85th minute with the Germans having led through early goals from Timo Werner and Leroy Sane.
