Yasir spins magic, NZ lose 10 wickets in 40 runs, 6 ducks

DUBAI: Leg-spinner Yasir Shah took a career best eight-wicket haul as New Zealand were forced to follow-on on the third day of the second Test in Dubai on Monday.

Yasir’s 8/41 in 12.3 overs rocked New Zealand to 90 all out. Following-on, New Zealand were 131/2 at stumps, still trailing by 197 runs. Tom Latham (44*) and Ross Taylor (49*) were battling on after Yasir removed opener Jeet Raval (2) and skip-skiper Kane Williamson (30) to mplete his 10-wicket haul. asir’s destructio­n gave Pakn a good c of levelling the series after losing the first Test by four runs in Abu Dhabi last week.

Yasir dismissed opener Raval for his ninth wicket in the match, stumped for two and later claimed Williamson after tea, caught by keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed.
