KUMAR QUESTIONED AGAIN
SHILLONG: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioned Kolkata Police commissioner Rajeev Kumar for the second day in Shillong on Sunday in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam, an official of the agency said.

It only reflects the amount of panic the TMC is suffering,” the BJP’S Lok Sabha management committee incharge for West Bengal said. Trinamool Congress parliamentarian Kunal Ghosh, who too has been brought to the Shillong office for investigation. Ghosh was arrested in 2013 and subsequently suspended by the party.
CBI is probing allegations against Kumar relating to the chit fund scam in which at least two million people were cheated out of their savings.
Police said five people have been named in the FIR over the killing. Apart from Roy and those arrested – Kartik Mondal and Sujit Mondal – two people named Abhijit Pundari and Kalipada Malda have also been accused in the case.
