Award ceremony at Air Force Bal Bharati School
Air Force Bal Bharati School, Lodhi Road, organised an ‘Award Ceremony’ to honour the meritorious students for ‘Excellence in Academics’. They were awarded Badges and Blazers on this occasion. The Chief Guest for the eventful day was Air Cmde JB Rane, VSM, Chairman Managing Committee, Air Force Schools. Anjana J Rane also graced this auspicious occasion. The Chief Guest inaugurated the new open gym in the school grounds followed by the lamp lighting and the welcome speech by the Principal Sunita Gupta. An Odissi Dance Recital mesmerised the audience. The Felicitation Ceremony was followed by the address by the Chief Guest. His thought provoking words of wisdom motivated the parents, staff and students alike. Vice Principal Mani Shankra proposed the Vote of Thanks.
St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School, Janakpuri, organised its 3rd Annual Inter School English Debate Competition- ‘Ideologue’ which received an overwhelming response from more than 60 prestigious institutions of Delhi. The Preliminary Round was held for two days. Principal Alka Kher extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, guests and participants. The occasion was graced by the presence of Director Anjali Aggarwal and Manager Rahul Aggarwal. 20 schools qualified for the final round. The debate topic for the Final Round was ‘Today’s generation glorifies the anti-hero’. In the final results, the rolling trophy was bagged by St. Mark’s Girls Sr. Sec. School, Meera Bagh. Vice Principal Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia applauded the young talent and extended a vote of thanks to all present. This journey was a highly motivational learning experience for all the participating members.
Maxfort School, Sector 7, Dwarka, in collaboration with SPIC MACAY had an interactive session with the National Awardee, theatre artist and the lead actor of ‘The Making of the Mahatma’, Rajit Kapur. The versatile actor was given a grand welcome by the students dressed up as Mahatma Gandhi. School Director K.K Vyas, Education Advisor Dr V.K Gautam and Principal Priyanka Bhatkoti felicitated Rajit Kapur. The lamp Lighting was followed by rendition of a beautiful composition by the School choir. Rajit Kapur acquainted the students’ community about the conviction, efforts and determination that leads to success. The engaging workshop enlightened the students about the life of Mahatma Gandhi and highlighted his valuable contribution to uplift the India’s social, economic and political fabric. Students actively participated in the interactive session. The Principal thanked Rajit Kapur for motivating the students to work towards knowing themselves and contributing towards the community.
The Indian School, Sadiq Nagar, hosted ‘Malhaar’- Interschool Music, Dance, Art and Drama Festival. 17 schools from Delhi-ncr participated in this cornucopia of competitions. The events of the day long programme included dance, music, art and drama. The auspicious lamp was lit by Chief Guest Padma Vibhushan Dr Sonal Mansingh, Vice Chairperson Dr. Nayana Goradia, Principal Tania Joshi and senior PTA representatives. The Chief Guest said we must all remain grounded to our rich roots. A wide array of judges specialising across genres were invited to judge the events. The students dressed in their vibrant ethnic finery set the mood for the celebration. The Indian School being host school, did not vie for a trophy. The Rolling Trophy was awarded to Tagore International School, East of Kailash.
