GUWAHATI: THE National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday filed a charge sheet against four members of the Isak-muivah faction of National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM) for killing Arunachal Pradesh legislator Tirong Aboh and 10 others in May last year.

Aboh, National People’s Party MLA from Khonsa, was killed when his convoy was ambushed by members of NSCN-IM in Tirap district on May 21.

Ten others died and three sustained injuries in the ambush.

His killing came a few days before the assembly election results.

Aboh won but the seat had to be vacated. Later, his wife won the seat as an Independent.

The charge sheet comes two days after NSCN-IM accused the NIA of targeting its members at a time when peace talks with the Centre had been completed and signing of the agreement to solve the Naga issue was awaited.
