‘Rashtriya Bal Puruskar’ for Sanskriti student

-

Parth Sarthi, a student of class XI of Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri was recently conferred with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puruskar (National Child Award) for his unsurpassable and relentless social service done to reunite children with their parents on the basis of their Aadhar details. He was felicitated by the President, Ram Nath Kovind, on January 22, 2020 at the Rashtrapati Bhawan and the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on January 24, 2020. When Parth was working as a volunteer for Salaam Baalak Trust, he saw that most children couldn’t be reunited with their families as they were too young to remember details about their homes. So, Parth organised various Aadhaar camps for the children. This allowed him to find children who already had Aadhaar IDS and thus, locate their families. More than twenty parents have been located and children from all over India have been reunited. Being an accomplished violinist, who has performed internationally in Budapest for the first Indianbased orchestra to perform in Europe, he has also performed for the Delhi Music Society Chamber

Ensemble at 13 years. Parth realised the importance of having a medium to express one’s creativity for a person’s holistic growth and created the Raasta Foundation to introduce and teach vulnerable and marginalised children. He focuses on math and music to strike a balance between knowledge and skills. His projects have been highly successful and he has trained children who have performed in front of large audiences. The school is very proud of Parth’s achievements.
