The philanthro­pist has also joined hands with several NGOS, to initiate door-to-door delivery of oxygen concentrat­ors. “It is critical when someone’s saturation is low. I’m facing more challenges in rural parts of northern India as there are no well-equipped hospitals to take care of the destitute population. We are organising 2,000 cylinders for them,” says Sahney, who is currently busy with the task of airlifting oxygen cylinders from China, on an SOS basis to save lives. capable individual­s to form small groups to help the needy. “If four or five people get together, and start cooking on a regular basis, one can feed at least 20-30 people. Can you imagine how much of a help would that be?” she suggests, further explaining, “If residentia­l societies start using the open spaces to cook food, and deliver, I’m sure others will join and it’ll help many.”

Talking about his next plan of action, Sahney shares “I am thinking now, how can we partner with the government agencies to do a vaccinatio­n drive for women and those who are Below Poverty Line.”
