While she is happy to be able to spend Diwali with her pets this year, Esha says she feels sad when she looks at the plight of scared dogs on Diwali. “You just wish that you could get them home. I wish people would not burst crackers. I play loud music in the house so that my dogs are not scared,” she says.

Nargis Fakhri

Replying to Jacqueline’s tweet, Nargis also advocates a cracker-free Diwali. The 36-year-old took to Twitter and wrote, “y’all 2is cute @Asli_ Jacqueline (sic). Please less or no crackers. I too get scared. I used to think it was Gunshots.”

Jacqueline Fernandez

The 30-year-old urged Twitteratti to click a selfie with their pets and ask everyone to not burst crackers. She posted a picture of herself posing with a cat on Instagram and wrote: “Let’s make Diwali safe for our pets. Share a message selfie with your pet….”

Anushka Sharma

Through an innovative social media campaign, the NH10 actor wants to generate awareness and sensitise people towards reduction of noise and fire crackers for the sake of animals. “When people burst firecrackers during Diwali, they don’t think of how it affects animals or birds. So creating awareness for those people is important,” she had said earlier.
