Faridabad hosts Oncology Conference 2017

National Cancer Society, Medical Education Trust, Indian Society of Oncology, Manage Health Foundation and Sarvodaya Hospital and Research Centre, Faridabad jointly organised an annual conference of Indian Society of Oncology recently, in Faridabad. For the first time, a cancer conference of this level has been organised. This holds a great significance for the medical fraternity of Faridabad.

Kaptan Singh Solanki, governor of Haryana was the chief guest at the conference. Dr SH Advani from Mumbai, Dr GK Rath from AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr Rakesh Gupta from Sarvodaya Hospital, Faridabad and Dr DC Doval from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre were also a part of the panel discussion. The conference was initiated by Dr Dinesh Pendharkar along with Dr Sumant Gupta (organising secretary) and Dr Manisha Mehndiratta (joint organising secretary), where discussion on improving the treatment of lung cancer prevailed.
