Be it her sky blue, double-faced cashmere jacket from the Ralph Lauren collection or the recent black, sequined suit by Michael Kors, US First Lady Melania Trump’s wardrobe has been the centre of discussions ever since her husband, Donald Trump was sworn in as the US President.

On her 47th birthday today, we raise a toast to her sartorial choices. Our fashion frat, too, gives Melania’s style a thumbs up. “One of the most stunning First Ladies ever, she has been wearing her clothes quite well,” says designer Nikhil Mehra.

Though dresses that are cinched at the waist seem more like Melania’s style, other looks are also “wellplanned out,” says designer Anand Bhushan. “I love the body con dresses she wears, her shoe choices are fab, and makeup is bang on,” adds Bhushan.

For designer Rina Dhaka, Melania is a “classic safe dresser” who “doesn’t make mistakes, but isn’t pushing the edge by going for the unknown [either].”
