I never felt insecure working with big stars: Freddy

- Rishabh Suri

Actor Freddy Daruwala (right), who made his acting debut with the Akshay Kumar starrer Holiday (2014) and worked in Force 2 (2016) alongside actor John Abraham, says that he was never worried that his screen presence will go unnoticed while working in films with big stars. “When you are working on a project, you have to realise that you are just one element in the film, and not the whole film! I never felt that I won’t be paid attention by the audience, because my job is to bloody shut up and perform!”

He believes that the viewers will easily spot you if your work is good. “I am being approached for many films. If I was not good, and the audience hadn’t liked me, that would not have happened,” says Freddy. He adds that he wants to model his career on that of his popular co-stars such as Akshay and John, who have been in the film industry for many years now.

“These days, stars are cool. Both have come into the industry the hard way, so they know that everybody deserves a chance. They were really supportive. I want people to look up to me in a few years like they look up to them”, says the 33-year old, who will be next seen in a Gujarati film, which recently ran into trouble for using a popular soft drink brand’s name in its title.
