JOLIE ADDS HER VOICE TO WEINSTEIN UPROAR
Hollywood remains divided on producer Harvey Weinstein, who has been accused of sexually harassing his employees and female actors. A recent report by New York Times brought the issue to the fore, quoting actor Ashley Judd, among others. Now, while stars such as Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow reveal their traumatic experiences with him, actor Lindsay Lohan defends the producer.
Lohan was in Scary Movie 5, distributed by Weinstein’s company. She says, “I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein. I don’t think it’s right what’s going on. He never harmed me.”
However, Paltrow, who was cast in Emma, was “petrified” when Weinstein placed his hands on her — she was 22 then — and suggested a massage. Jolie also said in a statement, “I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth, and as a result, chose never to work with him again.”
