Jeffrey Tambor quits TV show Transparent after sexual assault claims
After two women on the set of TV show Transparent accused him of sexual harassment, Emmy Awardwinning actor Jeffrey Tambor announced Sunday that he is leaving the series.
“Playing Maura Pfefferman on Transparent has been one of the greatest privileges and creative experiences of my life,” Tambor told Deadline Hollywood magazine.

The sexual misconduct claims are being brought by Tambor’s former assistant, actor Van Barnes, and actor Trace Lysette, both of whom are transgender. Both actors have been on the set of Transparent.
Barnes said her former boss had propositioned her on several occasions, made lewd comments, groped her, and threatened to sue her if she made the behaviour known.
Lysette said Tambor had made lewd remarks of a sexual nature to her repeatedly, and had been “physical” with her at least once.
After these claims were made public, Tambor stated, “I have never been a predator — ever.”
Tambor has starred in movies such as Hellboy (2004), The Accountant (2016) and The
