UK minister receives Pravasi Bharatiya Samman

LONDON: Priti Patel, Britain’s senior-most minister of Indian origin, has vowed to champion the interests of the Indian diaspora and work for strengthening Indo-UK ties as she received her ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Samman’ at a ceremony. The minister for international development was conferred the award by President Pranab Mukherjee in January.
