School fees

Under the 7th pay commission, the government will come up with a separate set of guidelines for schools to follow. So, the 300 private institutions located on government land may not be able to hike their fees until the middle of the academic session.

“Even if we apply for approval now, the state authorities will take time to process it. This academic year, the hike may happen along with the implementation of the 7th pay commission,” the principal of one of the affected schools said on the condition of anonymity.
