Failure to clear physical test cost IPS officer his job
NEWDELHI: Failure to clear physical test as part of the training cost an IPS probationary officer his job.
The government on Tuesday informed Parliament that Salunkhe Deepak Atmaram, an IPS probationer of 2010 batch, has failed to clear the mandated physical test in all admissible attempts. “Therefore, an order discharging the officer from the Indian Police Service in terms of Rules, 12 (a) of the Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954 has been issued dated 22nd March, 2017,” minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju informed the Lok Sabha.
