Hottest March in Shimla in last seven years

SHIMLA: Shimla on Tuesday recorded highest temperatur­e in last seven years. As per data available with the state meteorolog­ical department, the maximum temperatur­e of Shimla town was recorded at 25.6 degrees Celsius. In 2010, the temperatur­e was recorded at 25.8°C. “It is the third highest temperatur­e recorded. As per records with the Met department, the highest temperatur­e was recorded in March 2004 at 27.2 °C,” said Manmohan Singh, Shimla Meteorolog­ical centre director.
