At least 120 stretches across Delhi are being patched by the PWD. The govt will also start a helpline to register complaints of waterlogging on June 7

-

Some of the roads being repaired by the PWD have not seen any patchwork in the past five years. The repair work is likely to be completed by the end of May.

Budget for the road repair is Rs 180 crore and PWD has divided work in three zones — north, east, south.

All roads measuring 60 feet and above running into 1,260 kilometres across the national capital comes under PWD.

Every monsoon, the city witnesses flooding as drains can only carry a load of only 25 mm water per hour.

Delhi’s drainage system was laid in 1976 by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department
