BJP authorises only Bengal unit chief to speak on crisis

The BJP central leadership on Sunday restricted Bengal leaders from making statements on the ongoing crisis in Darjeeling and authorised only state BJP president Dilip Ghosh to speak. The embargo was reportedly issued at the instruction of party president Amit Shah. Ghosh told HT that the restrictions were necessary in view of the contradictory statements coming from different state and district-level leaders.
