An eyewitness told news channels that a motorcycle suddenly appearing in front of the bus because of which the driver lost control . But the DCP said that the accident happened because the driver failed to negotiate a sharp turn on the road. “The bus overturned across the divider, blocking a portion on both carriageways of the road,” said the DCP.

There were around 50 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident and most of them were sleeping. While most of them got out through the windows and the broken windshield in front, others were pulled out by locals.
