Actor Karan Mehra (left) has taken a hiatus from work as he is expecting his first child with wife, Nisha Rawal (extreme left), who is due to deliver in June end. Being a doting husband, Karan is spending as much time as possible with Nisha and is also helping her deck up their Mumbai home for their bundle of joy.

“Right now, she [Nisha] is my priority. I want to be there for her. She needs complete rest, so I have taken the responsibility of our house. We are working on the interiors; some alteration is required for the new member. When we got this house, we had designed it the way we wanted to, and now when we are making the changes, we are again doing it our way. We didn’t hire an interior designer,” says Karan, who was a part of reality show Bigg Boss season 10.

Excited about embracing fatherhood, Karan shares that he isn’t worried about the new responsibility. “I’ve been brought up in a way that I can handle any responsibility. My brother (Kunal) was five years younger to me and I took care of him like a father. My parents also taught me household work— cleaning the house, washing clothes and utensils, taking care of electrical and carpentry work and other routine work. So, I am quite functional that way, unlike men who shy away from doing household chores,” adds Karan.

Meanwhile, Karan is in talks for his next project but he doesn’t wish to divulge any details. He plans to get back to work after Nisha’s delivery.
