Kriti Sanon ventured into acting with the Mahesh Babu-starrer Telugu film Nenokkadine (2014). She stepped into Bollywood with Heropanti, which released in the same year. In 2015, her second Telugu film, Dohchay (2015) released, adding to her popularity down south, and she went on to do four Hindi films. Currently, she has four more of those in her kitty, but not a single South Indian film.

When asked if there is any particular reason for which she decided to shift her attention to Bollywood, Kriti shares that she was just getting more offers from the Hindi film industry.

“I never had any divide in my mind as far as language or industry is concerned. As an actor, you need to feel connected with the project you are working on. So, whatever appeals to me creatively I am ready to do it. I have had a wonderful time working on both my Telugu films. The directors and actors in both of them are among the best in the industry. So, there was a lot I learned while collaborating with them,” says Kriti.

The actor adds that presently she has too much at her hand. “At this moment, I won’t be able to take anything up. But yes, if a great story comes to me and a great director with whom I really want to work is attached with a particular script, then I am game. The story needs to attract my attention and make me feel interested in it,” she signs off.
