Know all about your diamonds
Diamonds are indeed a girl’s best friend. It makes one stand out in the crowd. But there is more to diamonds than its sparkle. Did you know that less than 1% of the world’s diamonds are worthy of the Forevermark inscription? The brand goes beyond the 4Cs i.e. cut, colour, clarity and carat to bring you diamonds that are amongst the world’s most beautiful.
What makes some of the world’s most beautiful diamonds special?
Expert gemologists at the Forevermark Diamond Institute utilise over 130 years of expertise and advanced technology, to select and grade diamonds and bring you only the most beautiful diamonds. The institute based in Surat (India), Maidenhead (UK), and Antwerp (Belgium) uses proprietary grading equipment developed by the De Beers Group to assess diamonds according to strict criteria and the highest standards of integrity.
“Each diamond goes through a 17-step process with Forevermark’s graders. Exclusive state-of-the-art equipment, including colour machines, synthetic and treatment detection instruments called DiamondSure, DiamondView, and DiamondPlus, assures that each diamond is assessed with accuracy and consistency,” says Sachin Jain, president, Forevermark India.
Register your diamond on Forevermark.com to gain online access to the grading report. “The 4Cs of your Forevermark diamond, the report number, and its Unique Identification Number, all appear in the Forevermark Diamond Grading Report. The unique inscription and identification card assures that it is genuine, natural, and untreated,” adds Jain.
How can you be confident that you are getting a genuine diamond?
The Forevermark unique inscription is an assurance that every Forevermark diamond meets the strict criteria of selection. “A Forevermark Diamond Grading Report is the blueprint of a beautiful Forevermark Diamond, revealing the diamond’s rare characteristics. Every Forevermark Diamond assures you that you have a truly beautiful diamond to own and gift,” says Jain.
What’s more, each diamond is assessed at least five times to ensure strict beauty and symmetry requirements. “Diamonds come in various grades but Forevermark diamonds adhere to strict principles. A Forevermark diamond will always be ‘Very Good’ or ‘Excellent’ cut. The carat weight of each Forevermark diamond must be 0.10cts or above in size. Each Forevermark diamond has a clarity standard of SI2 or above. All are deemed as
‘white facing’ – an industry term surmising that they are of the higher colour grade and must be ‘L’ colour grade or higher,” adds Sachin.
