Day two: University sees a surge in online registrati­ons

Other Backward Class (OBC) category; 2,600 under the Scheduled Caste category and 606 under the Scheduled Tribe category.

Online applicatio­ns and the number of aspirants arriving for the university’s open- day sessions are seeing a hike. Since Thursday, three to four sessions are being held a day. So far, every session has been a full-house, with parents and students rais- ing several queries about the admission process. DU started its open day sessions at its campus in north Delhi on May 21. Open day session scheduled on Saturday has been moved to June 1, due to DU’s annual convocatio­n function.

Minority colle ges, St Stephen’s College and Jesus and Mary College, have also started their admission process.
