UltraTech Cements’ sales rise 6% to ` 591 crore

NEW DELHI: Aditya Birla Group firm UltraTech Cements’ consolidated net sales rose 6% to `6,372 for the quarter ended June. Consolidated net profit, however, fell 6% to `591 crore during the quarter. Shareholders and creditors approved the firm’s acquisition of Jaiprakash Associates’s cement units in Madhya Pradesh.
