Australia’s Smith back as No 1 Test batsman

LONDON: Australia’s Steven Smith has regained top spot in the ICC Test batting rankings following a Man-of-the-Match display in his side’s commanding 405-run win over England in the second Ashes Test at Lord’s on Sunday. The 26-year-old had been dethroned by AB de Villiers after he was twice out for 33 in Australia’s 169-run defeat by England in the Ashes opener in Cardiff.
